QUICK RECAP:

Given all that's happening, Hope, Community and Resilience have been strong recurring themes, and we all could use a good dose of that right now!

The Sundance Film Festival and the Sundance Institute continue to nourish and inform who I am as a human being as well as a filmmaker. This includes the film I'm directing FROM HOPE TO HOME, and other films that I am part of.

My deep gratitude to one of the advisors on my film, Pat Mitchell as well as Project Dandelion, The Redford Center, The Edward J. Haddock, Jr. Family Foundation/Common Pictures, Uplevyl, She Money, and others for the extra-special programming I was able to participate in this year.

2025 has brought SO many great films, panels, people, and gatherings.. simply too many to mention individually, but...

SOME OF MY FILM RECCS:

Since I'm always asked, here goes...

  • Rebuilding (photo: top center)

  • Omaha (photo: bottom right: cast of Omaha)

  • Peter Hujar’s Day (photo: bottom left & center, producer (& friend;) Jordan Drake

  • All that’s Left of You

  • Twinless

  • Third Act

  • The Dating Game

  • Brides

  • Kiss of the Spiderwoman… and SO many more!

  • Next up for me before I head back to LA are Sauna, Khartoum, and Speak.

  • Also David Again by Adam Elliot, a short that I discovered at a talk with Editor in Chief for the newly-launched, short-film-focused Switchboard Magazine. (photo: bottom right)

Starting January 30, online screenings — including all competition films — will be available on demand for a limited time.

Just go to the Film Program Guide and use the filter at the top to see which films you can check out online, then buy a ticket for your must-sees before they sell out.

MEANWHILE... On the From Hope to Home front, as we head into post-production, check out our updated website. You'll see that past Featured Guest Tess Cacciatore has joined the team as Producer., and you'll hear my voiceover on the promo reel. If you want to know more, let us know!

Here's to the ripples in your life and all they become,

Christine
