9/11: Stories of Sacrifice & Service

I already know that this entire Fall Online Screening Salon Series, TAKING A STAND, including the one later today will be so inspiring. With my Featured Guests and everyone who will be participating, we already have a very special group, with more RSVP's coming in.

We begin at 5-7pm PT / 8-10pm PT, with the Meet & Greet starting 15 minutes earlier.

There are a few spots left. There is no fee to join, and you can join one, a couple or all four.

If you're curious, here's a 4-minute taste of a past salon

With over 40 of these free and public online screening salons to date as well as others in person, I continue to use film and screened content as a bridge to bring people together for genuine connection and community. Whether in person or online, I am 500% convinced of the power of film and other screened content as a bridge for building genuine connection and community... This is especially important in these times when connection, community are challenging in the workplace and in our personal lives.

9/11: Stories of Sacrifice and Service is the 30-minute film that we will experience together. It was created for this year's 21st Anniversary of the 9/11. So far it has been viewed by over 500,000 students and others of all ages around the world. As always, before and after, we’ll come together for group conversation, which is really what Stone Soup Ripple is all about.

Yesterday I spoke with today's Featured Guests:

- Noah Rauch, SVP for Education & Public Programs of the 9/11 WTC Memorial and Museum NYC

Noah and his team created the film. He also oversees all of the Museum’s educational, interpretive, public and professional programs

- David Lim, Lieutenant, Port Authority Police Department (ret.).

David was a first responder, one of only 18 people to survive the towers’ collapse, though he lost his beloved K-9 Golden Labrador, Sirius, in the collapse.

David's personal story and the stories of the three other individuals who we will meet in the film truly reflect what can happen when we choose to take a stand through service and sacrifice instead of aggression and conflict.

The series continues for the next 3 Tuesdays as well, when we will be joined by Featured Guests Kay Rubacek and Pat Mitchell. I encourage you to learn more about each of these amazing Featured Guests and of course, you can meet them in these upcoming salons.
